As a member of the mint family it can be quite boisterous in the border so plant sensibly. Cut back after flowering to avoid self seeding and to encourage a second flush of fresh foliage. As hardy as common Lemon Balm but keep cutting back in order to retain the variegation.A herb that has many medicinal and culinary properties.
