Juniper JNP-QSFP-40GE-IR4 Compatible 40GBASE-IR4 CWDM 1271~1331nm 2km QSFP Transceiver Optcore’s QSFP-40G-IR4 is a high performance and cost-effective QSFP IR4 transceiver designed for 40 Gigabit Ethernet (40GbE) optical communication applications. The module complies with QSFP MSA and IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-IR4 specifications. The QSFP IR4 Transceiver converts 4 inputs channel of 10.3125Gb/s electrical data to 4 CWDM optical signals, and multiplexes them into a single channel for 40Gb/s optical transmission. On the receiver side, the transceiver optically de-multiplexes a 40Gb/s input into 4 CWDM channels signals and converts them to 4 channel output electrical data. The center wavelengths of the 4 CWDM channels are 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm. The module contains a LC Duplex connector for the optical interface and a 38-pin connector for the electrical interface. To minimize the optical dispersion in the long-haul system,single-mode fiber (SMF) has to be applied in this module. The QSFP-40G-IR4-JNP QSFP optics is programmed and tested to be compatible with Juniper data center switches, routers, NICs and other optical transport devices for 40G Ethernet and high-performance computing networks. It is an ideal equivalent to Juniper JNP-QSFP-40GE-IR4 QSFP optics module at lower cost, which provides a reliable compatible 40G QSFP optics solution for system integrator, distributors and ends users in data center networking infrastructure.
