Unlike the regular SFP , this BiDi transceiver integrates a DFB transmitter and PIN receiver into a simplex LC interface. By utilizing the WDM technology, it supports bidirectional communication by transmitting a 1270nm wavelength and receiving a 1330nm signal simultaneously on the same fiber. This design effectively doubles transmission capacity without requiring new fibers, thereby simplifying cabling installation. As a third-party supplier, OPTCORE provides 10GBASE-BX-U SFP BiDi at a very affordable price when compared to the original J9151A-BX-U. Each transceiver has been coded and passes the test with the 10G SFP port of HPE Aruba network switches, routers, servers, and network interface cards (NICs).
