Created from an exquisite glass of marbled blues and purples as the base, the stars are stamped from brass sheet and placed beneath a clear top layer. The bears are hand-cut from white glass and assembled on the top before the entire thing goes into a kiln to fuse into a single, solid piece. After the bottom edge is ground level to allow the finished decoration to stand, it is returned to the kiln on top of a mould so that it can slump into the shape. 14 x 23 cm approx.
